Responsible innovation for a more efficient future.
At MAB, sustainability means combining industrial excellence with environmental responsibility.
Our commitment is to continuously reduce the impact of production, improving efficiency and transforming innovation into tangible environmental progress.
We believe that every process, material, and idea can contribute to a more conscious textile industry — where technology, creativity, and responsibility work together.
Reducing emissions and optimizing energy
Between 2023 and 2025, MAB conducted a full greenhouse gas emissions assessment, revealing total annual emissions of 1,466 tonnes CO₂e, with a net footprint of just 293.8 tonnes CO₂e after renewable offsets and efficiency measures.
Today, 42.8% of the company’s electricity is generated from on-site solar panels, preventing nearly 70 tonnes of CO₂ each year.
In addition, our high-efficiency cogeneration (CHP) system achieves a 95% conversion rate, producing both electricity and thermal energy for manufacturing.
Our goal is to reach 60% renewable energy by 2027, further reducing dependence on fossil fuels and strengthening our commitment to a low-carbon future.
Waste reduction and process optimization
Sustainability is built on efficiency and precision.
Across weaving, knitting, and dyeing operations, MAB continuously works to:
- Reduce material waste and production scraps;
- Unify and streamline lab dipping processes, minimizing time and resource consumption;
- Improve thermal efficiency and optimize natural gas use;
- Recover energy and water in the most intensive production phases.
These initiatives have already led to a 12% reduction in material waste compared to previous years, moving our production model toward greater circularity and resource efficiency.
Quality
We produce durable elastic webbing and fabrics for workwear with quality control at every stage: from yarn selection to production, each batch is tested to ensure durability, stability, and industrial compatibility.
Certifications
All workwear materials comply with the OEKO-TEX Class 1 standard and are also available in GRS versions. Upon request, we can provide items with flame-retardant or antibacterial properties, traceable throughout the entire supply chain.
Innovation
We use advanced technologies to develop textile tapes and fabrics for workwear with specific performance features: reflective tapes, water-repellent treatments, 3D printing, laser cutting, and high-resistance finishes.
Research and development
We collaborate with brands and technical apparel manufacturers to design custom materials, customizing stretch, finish, color, and function based on the intended use: industrial, healthcare, outdoor, or high-risk.
Responsible supply chain and materials
With raw materials accounting for nearly 60% of total emissions, MAB collaborates with selected suppliers to lower the carbon footprint of polyester and polyamide components.
We are actively introducing low-impact, traceable yarns from certified partners and optimizing logistics to reduce long-distance transport and promote European supply chains.
A continuous commitment
For MAB, sustainability is not a single achievement — it’s a continuous journey.
By investing in clean technologies, renewable energy, and material innovation, we aim to build a more efficient, responsible, and transparent production model, in line with international best practices.
